HHSC needs a project manager to guide the visioning, assessment, planning, and implementation of a project to enhance the agency’s IT Configuration Management DataBase (CMDB). This will include working with a vendor(s) to gather stakeholder business requirements, obtaining approvals for the resulting CMDB roadmap, working with stakeholders and the ITSM team to plan the implementation of the CMDB enhancement, and guiding the implementation. Existing CMDB platforms include ServiceNow and BMC Helix. This effort requires a Project Manager with knowledge and experience of new project start-ups, CMDB concepts, and ITSM frameworks. This role will be responsible for gathering requirements, maintaining project plans, timelines, milestones, documentation, and deadlines. Project Manager will also conduct regular project status meetings, maintain a risk and issues log, report status of the project to various audiences on regular schedules and on an ad hoc basis, and ensure timely delivery of high–quality CMDB.
