JOB DETAIL

Project Description:      

This position is for a Senior Product Manager to develop Product Roadmap and Business Requirements for a Large eCommerce retailer out of the Bay Area.

The Product Manager will be tasked with innovating, designing and facilitating the agile implementation of product features to enhance the user experience for multiple brands across Merchandising systems. The focus of this role is EDAM (Enterprise Digital Asset Management).

 

Duties/Day to Day Overview:    

•             Work with various Business and IT eCommerce teams to facilitate and implement the roadmap for our digital content and asset management solutions across Brands, including measuring feature effectiveness and value

•             Improve brands team’s ability to optimize online merchandising and marketing strategies by providing easy to use tools and new DAM capabilities that support our evolving business needs

•             Lead the definition, prioritization, intake and scoping of DAM related initiatives, using all available data and resources to guide decision-making

•             Serve as a liaison between Business and Technology teams to ensure DAM solutions meet business expectations with high adoption and satisfaction rates

•             Partner with Technical Project Managers to lead the execution of projects for various brands 

•             Serve as primary liaison between Technology, Creative, UI and Business teams 

•             Attend project meetings and provide status reports to the business team 

•             Facilitate troubleshooting and resolution of daily project issues 

•             Acts as an owner, mentor and product category expert. Builds strong cross functional relationships by approaching all interactions with an entrepreneurial mindset. 

•             Develop business requirements for Merchandising Systems enhancements, features and functionality 

•             Educate Brand teams and Stakeholders on recommendations, guiding discussions to consensus and driving action items 

•             Develop high-level business requirements and detailed user stories 

•             Recommend and facilitate cross-concept initiatives and features 

•             Assists in definition and management of project scope and subsequent change requests 

•             Assist in the definition and implementation of new processes as they relate to new features 

•             Gather, track and report metrics and key performance indicators for new features and functionality 

•             Educate the business team on new application and processes related to platform and feature enhancements and ensure the team is equipped and trained appropriately 

•             Evaluate alternative operational efficiencies and business process change 

•             Organize and Facilitate User Acceptance Testing 

•             Track and report on issues and solutions and escalate when appropriate 

•             Provide support to Business and IT teams where necessary 

 

Top Requirements

(Must haves)

•             5+ years of product management or business analysis experience within a technology organization

•             Experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale eCommerce projects from vision through implementation. 

•             Deep experience in web merchandising and Digital Asset Management systems (DAM, eDAM) solutions in large catalog organizations.

o             Content Management System (experience with AEM Sites and Assets is preferred).

•             Ability to interface with business as well as technology teams 

•             Experience managing relationships with business stakeholders, gathering requirements and documenting those requirements in the form of user stories

•             Experience working within Scrum or other Agile environments 

•             Experience with Jira & Confluence, specifically authoring effective JIRA stories for functional requirements, detailed acceptance criteria and prioritization with delivery teams 

•             Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and evaluate new ideas with partners across the organization. 

•             Effectively partner with Operations and technology delivery teams & QA teams through gathering detailed requirements, presenting the business value, documenting requirements in JIRA and Visio process flows.
