As a member of the Care Navigation Delivery team, the Care Navigation Senior Project Manager-Provider Directory is responsible for managing the work necessary to comply with various government and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association mandates as they pertain to provider information collected from the providers, stored on internal systems, and made available to our members via our Provider Directory.

 

The Care Navigation Senior Project Manager-Provider Directory is expected to coordinate and manage the work associated with all pertinent government & Association requirements.  This will involve working closely with the business analyst, business leadership, technology teams, and 3rd party vendors to ensure all associated work is prioritized, coordinated, and documented.  Scheduling/leading regular meetings, capturing & publication of notes, project planning, status reporting, and project budget management are all expected of this role.  This role is inherently cross-functional, and you should be an effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are expected to dive deep into the technology from both a provider and member perspective. The Care Navigation Senior Project Manager-Provider Directory must be an independent learner, a self-starter willing to initiate projects, and someone who anticipate provider’s and member's needs.

 

You should be a problem solver who is passionate about technology and enjoys working with engineering and data teams collaboratively, and equally comfortable interacting with business units on their business needs.  You should be somebody who is eager to lead programs that have both broad influence and unique technical challenges to solve. The ideal candidate will have experience leading delivery across engineering & data disciplines, and an established track record of delivering large complex programs as well as effectively influencing up and across the organization.

 

 

Responsibilities

•       Leads the work necessary to deliver government & Association mandates across business and technology organizations

•       Creates necessary documentation to plan, track, measure, and report on all aspects of the mandate initiatives

•       Manages project timeline along with risks, issues, decisions, and changes

•       Manages project financials (actuals and forecasts) on a monthly cadence

•       Manages risk/issue escalations and drives resolution

•       Manages resources in a cross-functional matrixed environment

•       Is responsible for executive level reporting and communication

•       Manages upstream and downstream business communications related to product being developed and to meet critical business needs

 

 

Experience/Education

•       Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in project management

•       Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred          

•       Healthcare domain knowledge, particularly all aspects of provider information

•       Extensive experience with Provider systems, data, directories, including external vendor software solutions

•       Demonstrated experience managing projects as related to various government mandates, including Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and state Department of Insurance agencies preferred

•       Advanced knowledge of MS Project, JIRA, Kanban and Agile management platforms

•       Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

•       Experience defining and executing against both short and long-term roadmap strategies

•       Experience leading and influencing (without direct oversight) cross-functional teams to deliver products and programs

•       Experience coordinating requirements across customer or stakeholder groups

•       Broad technical breadth and depth including familiarity with customer applications such as website and mobile apps.

•       Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical and business concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners

•       High attention to detail including precise and effective stakeholder communication, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

•       Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives

•       Ability to think strategically and execute methodically

•       History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
