Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a skilled Business Data Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data analysis, SQL, and PL/SQL, with a strong understanding of financial domains such as Treasury, Accounting, and financial data.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze data, reporting, and analytic requirements for financial data sets.
- Conduct data analysis, lineage, and profiling from source systems to data repositories and reports.
- Develop specifications for reporting/analytic requirements and ensure clarity and sign-offs on requirements.
- Guide technical teams and provide functional and technical guidance to translate requirements into solutions.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing of reports and data-driven solutions.
- Assist Program Managers in tracking work program deliverables using appropriate SDLC methodologies.
- Manage technical challenges and communicate risks or issues to management.
- Develop, manage, and maintain processes, procedures, and documentation for application support handover.
Skills / Experience Required:
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience with a master's degree or equivalent; or bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Experience with large data and reporting applications, operational data stores, Data Warehouses, and/or Data Marts.
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts, finance, and economic principles.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL and ability to write complex queries.
- Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, SAP BO, Tableau.
- Strong project management skills with knowledge of Agile concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both business and IT individuals.
