• Implement procedures to maintain, monitor, backup, and recover operations for the ETL environment.
• Regularly report on the health and performance of the ETL environment and jobs.
• Conduct optimization, troubleshooting, and debugging of ETL processes.
• Own and manage release activities by collaborating with ETL projects.
• Perform import and export ETL jobs across various ETL projects and servers.
• Provide development support to ETL application development teams.
• Establish projects, roles, users, and privileges in different ETL environments (development, QA, production etc.).
• Record and maintain ETL software and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with data warehouse and ETL developers to implement ETL solutions.
• Provide detailed analysis of problems and recommend solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to ETL jobs.
• Experience with scheduling tools like Autosys or Ab Initio Control Center.
• Familiarity with debugging, meta-programming, parallelism, and performance tuning.
• Experience in designing and delivering ETL processes using Ab Initio and Unix shell scripting.
• Exposure to project architecture, platform integrations, and databases.
• Implement procedures to maintain, monitor, back up, and recover operations for the Ab Initio environment.
• Regularly report on the health and performance of ETL processes and jobs.
• Conduct ETL optimization, troubleshoot issues, and debug problems.
• Maintain ownership of release activities, collaborating with ETL projects.
• Interact with the Enterprise Meta Environment to manage metadata related to Ab Initio graphs and components.
• Participate in the creation of development, staging, and production ETL instances, and the migration from one environment to another.
• Hands-on knowledge in proactive remediation of Abinito operational problems
