Breaking down their day depends on the phase of the project. –
Start with design component selection, nailing down some requirements for the electronics of the product, design, schematic capture, then PCB layout, and then checking/testing the board and making sure the design is implemented properly, write up test plan to make sure parameters check out, and potential failure mode inspection analysis (primarily if they are on a medical project) –
first project is not in the medical space but if we get someone in there and they do a good job, there is always an opportunity for continued work.
People who are versatile tend. The job will require full life-cycle design and development of electronic products including
requirements definition, circuit design, schematic capture, PCB Layout, possible embedded firmware development, integration, and testing.
In this role, you will provide engineering expertise to design and develop electronic products for the medical, consumer, and industrial markets.
You will work in small teams or independently to execute contract engineering projects for a variety of clients.
Typical design we have would have some type of analog with data acquisition, some small power supplies,
microprocessor, and interface with some sort of a wireless radio – that describes about 80% of what we do here.
