Migration Planning and Strategy:

Develop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy for moving Tableau Server to the Tableau cloud.

Assess the current Tableau Server infrastructure, identify dependencies, and plan for resource allocation in the cloud environment.

Create and maintain migration timelines, risk assessments, and contingency plans.

Cloud Environment Setup:

Configure cloud infrastructure to support Tableau Server, ensuring scalability, high availability, and security.

Set up network configurations, storage, and compute resources in the chosen cloud platform.

Implement best practices for cloud security, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance.

Migration Execution:

Perform data migration, including transferring Tableau Server repositories, workbooks, and data sources to the cloud.

Conduct thorough testing and validation of the migrated environment to ensure functionality and performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during and after the migration process.

Performance Tuning and Optimization:

Monitor and optimize the performance of Tableau Server in the cloud environment.

Implement performance tuning measures to ensure optimal user experience and efficient resource utilization.

Conduct capacity planning to support future growth and scalability needs.

Security and Compliance:

Ensure that the cloud-hosted Tableau Server environment meets all security and compliance requirements.
