JOB DETAIL

  • Mainframe Technologies: COBOL (Highly Proficient), DB2 (Highly Proficient), CICS (Proficient), JCL (Proficient)
  • Application Development Lifecycle (ADLC): Experience with all phases of ADLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • System Administration: Experience with system installations, modifications, and integration with existing infrastructure
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot issues, conduct risk assessments, and analyze data
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders, USAA teams, and offshore partners
  • Project Management: Experience supporting project requirements, adapting to customer release processes, and ensuring 100% deliverable ownership
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with Disaster Recovery (DR) and interface layout concepts

Responsibilities:

  • Perform system installations and modifications on mainframe platforms.
  • Create test structures, gather and analyze data to ensure application quality.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Provide support for project requirements throughout the ADLC.
  • Implement plans such as disaster recovery and interface layout for mainframe applications.
  • Troubleshoot issues and maintain existing mainframe applications.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain mainframe-based applications using COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCL.
  • Integrate mainframe applications with other systems and interact with infrastructure components.
  • Effectively communicate with business stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Develop controls that meet specified requirements.
  • Adapt to customer release processes and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate effectively with both offshore and USAA stakeholders.
