Coordination of project activities associated with the design and implementation of business process, legislative, and supporting information systems projects.
Applying project management principles for the development and delivery of GTA business projects
Facilitation and authoring of project determination documentation per Department of Management’s Project Management and Oversight guidelines, business cases, scope definitions, and project charters documentation
Management of the scope, deliverables, risks, and issues for assigned projects
Facilitation of gathering project requirements with business and information technology staff, business process owners, business process subject matter experts, and/or key stakeholders as needed for assigned projects.
Engagement of other Departmental stakeholders as necessary throughout project closure
Providing status reports to Program management and stakeholders
Documentation of lessons learned and conduct project closure activities
Minimum 5 Years of Information Technology Project Management experience
Minimum 2 Years of experience working in an established Project Management Office (PMO)
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite to include Microsoft Project and/or project management technology tools
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute
Performing other related duties as required Education/Certifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another related field. Or equivalent work experience. Preference will also be given to applicants with experience working with state agencies and following Department of Management’s Project Management and Oversight guidelines.
