Essential Skills: • Installing and maintaining the Oracle database software.• Creating storage database structures with high-level security features.• Altering storage structures to meet the evolving needs of the company.• Setting up database user accounts.• Training users on how to access the information in the database.• Finding and debugging malfunctioning programs affecting the database integrity.• Creating autonomous database backups.• Managing DB schemas.• Database patch management.• Regularly updating the database security protocols.• Hands on experience in Data Guard.• Hands on experience in managing database replication and high availability using Goldengate/ Data Guard is mandatory• Managing database backup using RMAN• Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools

Desirable Skills: Establish mechanisms for data backup/restore of relational databases• Document policies, process, and procedures and implement best practices• Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards• PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills• Install and maintain the performance of database servers• Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors• Create automation for repeating database tasks• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to effectively work on and prioritize multiple concurrent jobs.• Generating database diagnostic report and trend analysis• Coordinate with service provider for issues and incidents related to critical Server outages, SEV 1 issues and RCA.• Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation. • Experience in ITIL process.
