JOB DETAIL

•       Track and document project resource costs.  Help management project related expenditures.

 

•       Help document business requirements for new systems and modifications to existing systems.

 

•       Help document work flows and departmental procedures.

 

•       Maintain project and department reporting tools; track project issues lists.

 

•       Other duties as assigned 

 

•       Key Interactions:

 

 

 

•       Internal - This position interacts with all facets/groups of the organization as needed. This includes but is not limited to:

 

o       Project Managers

 

o       PMO Director

 

o       IT  (Programmers, Business Analysts, Architects, DBA, QA, Managers/Leads)

 

o       Brokerage Operations

 

o       Risk and Compliance

 

o       Finance  (Commissions, Accounting)

 

o       Wealth Management  (Sales Team, Advisory Billing and Reporting)

 

o       Advisors at Broker Dealers

 

o       Marketing and Communications

 

o       Legal

 

o       Broker Dealer Operations

 

o       Help Desk Teams

 

•       External

 

o       3rd party product vendors (e.g. Tenrox)

 

•       The project coordinator will assist with creation of various project documents including reports provided to the finance team and will help ensure that capitalization for projects is accurately calculated

 

•       A series of tasks or activities that are similar in terms of the skills and knowledge used and where the tasks are usually well defined, though diverse and involving a wide variety of responsibilities and situations.  Working with defined and standard work processes

 

 

 

•       Qualifications:

 

 

 

•       Project Management Principles (e.g. PMI or PMP Certification)

 

•       Strong Product Business Knowledge

 

•       Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

 

•       Proficiency with various software programs including MS Suite (Word, Excel, PP, Visio, Project)

 

•       College degree or equivalent experience preferred

 

•       Minimum 2-3 years business experience, preferably in financial services (preferred)

 

•       At least 1-2 years’ experience working with a PMO or project team

 

•       Experience interacting with members of management other than direct Manager in work situations
