- 5+ years’ experience in Data Governance, data catalog, and data stewardship
- Deep understanding of data governance capabilities including data catalog, data dictionary, business lineage, technical lineage and stewardship workflows
- Hands-on experience with configuration and maintenance of catalog tools such as Alation, Collibra, Informatica
- Hands-on experience with programing languages such as SQL, HTML, Java, Python and others
- Hands-on experience with on-boarding metadata from various sources including SQL Server, Oracle, Azure cloud and others.
- Understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure (preferable), google, AWS and snowflake.
- Understanding of ETL technologies such as Mulesoft, ADF, talend, SSIS
- Familiar with data quality practices and its integration with data catalog
- Comfortable working independently and with other teams/vendors to resolve issues.
- Good communication and writing skills.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-today configuration and maintenance of data catalog platform
- Work closely with project teams to help with delivering catalog use cases which include design, configuration and deployment.
- Validate lineage diagrams and modify/change as required.
- Responsible for integrating with new data sources for metadata acquisition.
- Develop customizations as required for use cases which may include API integrations, custom dashboards, and workflows.
- Working with client’s teams and vendor to resolve technical issues in the platform.
