Partner with business unit IT teams to discuss, gather, and document analytics solution requirements.
- Partner with IT Infrastructure team architects to define, acquire, and deploy cloud services required for a given cloud analytics solution.
- Design, develop, implement, and support new and existing data & analytics solutions ingested from multiple source systems.
- Day-to-day management and support for analytics platforms to ensure availability and optimal performance.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills needed to function effectively as a member of the team.
- Exhibit customer focus while interfacing with business partners.
- Work on other reporting and business intelligence related tasks as necessary.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and other relevant tools.
- Architect and implement data warehouse solutions on Azure Synapse, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and domain experts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing for large-scale datasets, considering factors such as data security, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries, stored procedures, and data processing workflows.
- Stay updated on the latest Azure services and features related to data engineering and incorporate them into existing and future projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business insights and operational excellence.
