JOB DETAIL

1. Database Admiration: Execute all aspects of database administration, including: Installation and maintenance of complex database management software in multiple environments on multiple platforms; monitoring of capacity

requirements and related database software tools to analyze and track database performance; replication and maintenance processes across multiple

environments and platforms; maintenance of corporate data policies and procedures for data retention, data access and data archiving;

Percent: 40%

2. Database Design and Development: develop, implement, test, and migrate

physical database data structures, stored procedures, triggers, views and

scripts on multiple platforms and across multiple environments, including development, testing, production and disaster recovery to ensure secure,

reliable and accurate databases for IT and client application development

projects.

Percent: 40%

3. Database Software Management: Support the installation and maintenance of complex database management software in multiple environments/platforms and participate in the execution of tests to verify proper installation.

Percent: 10%

4. Database Project Planning: Assist with project planning by providing estimates for assigned tasks.

Percent: 5%

Personal Development: Maintain business and technical expertise to allow for proper decision making on project and departmental issues. Remain current with Clients' business strategy, to align recommendations with that strategy.   Percent: 5%

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

5 years related IT experience; 1-3 years application development and database design and/or administration experience with both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database platforms

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Technical database administration skills in a relational database environment, including:

? Database object design and development

? Database backup/recovery

? Distribution and replication

• Technical application development skills, including:

? Business and data analysis using object or structured analysis techniques

? Application and program design using object-oriented or structured design techniques

• Communication and interpersonal skills, including

? Technical and non-technical writing

? Formal presentation and informal verbal communication

? Client relationship development & management
