Software Engineering Leadership: Lead or support software engineering initiatives to create solutions aligned with Kroger’s business needs.
Collaboration and Facilitation: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and UX teams to drive the delivery of essential software features.
Design Patterns and Standards: Provide design guidance, reusable standards, and patterns to improve the development process.
Research and Prototyping: Participate in research, design, and prototyping to support the development and prep phases.
User Story Creation: Collaborate with the Kroger Product Manager to define and refine user stories and acceptance criteria.
Design and Review Sessions: Participate in strategy sessions with the Consultant Technical Lead to ensure alignment on design and development goals.
Paired Programming & Test Automation: Develop code and write automated acceptance test cases, utilizing paired programming as needed.
Functional Validation: Work alongside the Product Manager to ensure code and acceptance tests meet expected functionality.
Version Control Management: Follow established branching strategies and adhere to guidelines for checking code into the repository.
QA Collaboration: Partner with QA teams on test case creation, execution, and bug resolution.
Continuous Improvement: Engage in continuous improvement activities, seek mentoring opportunities, and support the growth of team processes.
