Day to Day

An employer is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to join their team based in Hartford, CT. For the right resource, this can be a remote position aligned to Eastern Standard Time, but there may be occasional travel required to Hartford, CT. This is open because this state agency is going through a large initiative to modernize all of their legacy Medicaid systems and move to a hybrid cloud solution in both AWS and Azure clouds. This Senior Cloud Architect will focus on guiding the design, development, implementation, and governance of the System Integration Platform Module and the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Analytics Modules, hosted on AWS and Azure. The Senior Cloud Architect will oversee vendor-led implementations, evaluate technical deliverables and artifacts, and ensure adherence to best practices, security, and compliance standards. Expertise in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservices, Enterprise Architecture, and Healthcare IT is essential. This resource will be involved in designing and implementing the cloud architecture strategy for AWS and Azure and will need to develop and maintain reference architectures, architectural guidelines, and technical roadmaps. They will be heavily involved in working with vendors and be responsible for implementing the solution and ensuring compliance with technical and contractual requirements. They will need to review and recommend approval for technical deliverables, design artifacts, and implementation plans to meet performance, and scalability. They will be responsible for the design and implementation of modular and scalable solutions using SOA and microservices, and be responsible for the integration strategies using APIs and middleware platforms.
