- Data Modeling:
- Proven experience in relational and dimensional data modeling using tools like Erwin
- Experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for operational and analytical data stores
- Database Design:
- Strong understanding of database design principles and best practices
- Experience with SQL and proficiency in writing complex queries
- Data Warehousing and Big Data:
- Hands-on experience with Hive (Hadoop) and data ingestion frameworks
- Knowledge of data architectural approaches, patterns, and emerging technologies (RDBMS, Hadoop, and Cloud)
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python with some experience in Spark
- Experience working with XML, JSON, Copybook, and CSV files
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Leadership and Communication:
- Experience leading and mentoring junior data modelers and analysts
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Data Governance:
- Understanding of data governance processes for metadata and lineage management (a plus)
- Familiarity with data governance tools like IGC or Collibra (a plus)
- Additional Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms like GCP or Azure (a plus)
- Domain knowledge in financial services and enterprise functions (a plus)
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience creating architecture and strategy artifacts
