The Director of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is an executive management position with direct leadership and oversight of the GIS Department.
Responsible for strategic planning of all GIS initiatives involving the Bureau of Technology (BOT), Offices under the President (OUP) and numerous elected officials.
Establishes and implements enterprise GIS standards, policies, and procedures.
Oversees the administration and maintenance of the County's Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Leads, supports, and enables the organization's GIS projects, programs and structured work efforts, as well as ensures the work of the GIS Department adds value, meets goals, is relevant to and aligns with the strategy of the organization.
