JOB DETAIL

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
  • Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders (e.g., billing, coding, finance, clinical operations) and the IT team to capture and define detailed business requirements for RCM systems and processes.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys with stakeholders to identify pain points, opportunities for improvement, and specific needs within the revenue cycle.
  • Develop use cases and user stories to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and documented by both technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Lead requirement prioritization sessions to determine which business needs should be addressed first based on their impact on revenue cycle performance, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a detailed requirements traceability matrix to ensure that all business requirements are captured, validated, and implemented throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Process and Workflow Documentation:
  • Analyze existing RCM processes and workflows to identify areas where technology or process improvements are needed.
  • Map current and future state processes (using process flow diagrams or similar tools) to ensure that proposed changes align with business objectives and system capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document new or updated workflows, ensuring that the requirements for system integration, data exchange, and user interfaces are well-defined.
  • Collaboration with Technical Teams:
  • Work closely with IT and development teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and system features.
  • Act as the point of contact for clarifications during the development and testing phases, ensuring the system meets business requirements.
  • Review and validate system configurations, customizations, and enhancements based on the business requirements gathered.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
  • Develop test cases based on gathered requirements to ensure the system meets functional and business expectations.
  • Coordinate and support UAT efforts, including preparing test scenarios, gathering feedback from users, and reporting defects or issues for resolution.
  • Ensure that the final deliverables meet the needs of the business before going live.
  • Ongoing Requirements Management:
  • Regularly engage with business stakeholders to validate and refine requirements as business needs evolve or new opportunities for improvement arise.
  • Ensure that any post-implementation enhancements or changes are managed effectively by re-gathering requirements, assessing impacts, and documenting changes for continuous process improvement.
  • Training and Support:
  • Work with the training team to develop materials and training sessions based on the system requirements and workflows.
  • Provide ongoing support to RCM teams to ensure successful adoption of new processes or systems and assist with troubleshooting as needed.
