Looking for a Data Engineer familiar with Databricks / Unity Catalog.

Top Skills – Apache Spark, Python (for automation), and Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Mid-to-senior-level experience, with 5+ years in the field

Strong background in Databricks, Apache Spark, and Python automation

Proficient in coding using Python and SQL, with occasional use of Scala in the Databricks environment

Experience with DevOps, particularly with automating different processes

Cloud experience – AWS is what they use and is preferred, but ok with GCP, Azure.

Aware of privacy policies and other data-related regulations

Familiarity with Jenkins is a plus for understanding infrastructure as code

Open to training contractors, including Python developers

Highlights data engineering as the most essential skill, DevOps can be learned

The candidate should have Apache Spark, Python, and Cloud experience

Day to Day:

Majority of the day will be developing in Python and SQL in a Databricks environment

AWS cloud background

Coding in Pythong & SQL, with occasional use of Scala

Team utilizes JIRA for task management

Primarily works off the JIRA board and spends a significant part of the day developing code

Participates in a few meetings and attends a weekly Scrum
