Hadoop Cluster Management:

Deploying, configuring, and managing Hadoop clusters, including adding and removing nodes, scaling operations.

HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) Knowledge:

Thorough understanding of HDFS architecture, data management, and troubleshooting issues related to data storage.

NameNode High Availability:

Configuring and managing NameNode redundancy for high availability.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

Utilizing monitoring tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, cluster issues, and job failures.

Network Understanding:

Basic network knowledge to manage data flow within the cluster and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

Configuration Management Tools:

Experience with tools like Puppet or Chef for automating cluster configuration and deployment.

Backup and Recovery:

Implementing and managing backup strategies for Hadoop data.

Job Management:

Monitoring and managing Hadoop jobs, including scheduling and resource allocation.

Java Fundamentals:

Basic understanding of Java programming concepts to troubleshoot core Hadoop components.
