The Client is transitioning from a monolithic system with 14 different business functions to an interoperable, modular system based on a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). This multi-year “Modularity” project involves collaboration with multiple vendors and potentially diverse project methodologies. The project must comply with federal standards and regulations, including:
- Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA)
- CMS Seven Conditions and Standards
- Outcomes-Based Certification (OBC)
- 21st Century Cures Act
- Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH Act)
- Currently, two vendors are part of the program, with three additional contracts under development. The Program Management Office (PMO) vendor, already engaged, is responsible for project management, defining enterprise architecture, requirements gathering, and leading organizational change management efforts.
The client is transitioning away from custom software development to procuring and configuring software to meet business needs. This requires a Business Analyst with a strong understanding of contracts, business processes, and requirements.
As part of the Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) team, the Business Analyst will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, reviewing and approving program, project, or software artifacts. The analyst will ensure contract compliance and support business areas in understanding vendor-proposed solutions. This position requires working onsite at the Central Medicaid facility in Montgomery, AL.
- Understand contract monitoring for development, configuration, and operational activities
- Review and adhere to processes supporting a multi-vendor program
- Collaborate with multiple vendors and in-person/virtual teams

- 3+ years of experience as a technical writer
