Install, configure, and maintain SAS software and related components.
Take responsibility for systems to keep up to date with the latest patches/hotfixes and updates.
Experience in SAS 9.4 multi-node Grid platform management and supporting all/any administration needs for SAS 9x suite in Linux environment.
Technical knowledge on SAS 9 platform framework for troubleshooting/resolving issues and configuration changes as needed.
Ensure the overall health and wellness of the SAS Grid Platform designs, implementation and maintain platform security via SAS’ Metadata, Operating system, and LSF.
Ensure users have appropriate access to Data and tools while maintaining security protocols and organization policies.
Monitor system performance and optimize as needed to ensure efficient operation.
Manage users’ access and permissions through the SAS Management Console alongside of SAS’ libraries and application server context management.
Oversee data integration and ensure data quality.
Manage storage and retrieval process.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery runbooks/ plans.
Ensure regular backups and test recovery procedures.
SAS Grid manager expertise for ability to manage and organize the jobs, queues, and hosts as needed.
Understanding of SAS access interfaces and leverage same for integrations to external Databases.
SAS Metadata Management - Ensure strict protocols to protect, cleaning procedures to organize and better health.
Act as a liaison for SAS environment and SAS vendor for enhancements to the environment and technical support.
Ability to discuss technical aspects to non-technical users/ members.
Work with various teams for support to SAS environment (DBA, OS, Storage, Networks).
Ability to fix complex SAS issues and experience working with vendor technical support teams.
