Create, update, and maintain parcel maps, boundaries, and land records using GIS tools such as Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar software.
Interpret and digitize property deeds, legal descriptions, plats, and survey documents to ensure accurate mapping.
Perform geospatial data analysis and quality control to maintain accurate cadastral data.
GIS Analysis & Support:
Conduct spatial analysis and geoprocessing to support land use planning, property assessments, and tax mapping.
Integrate parcel data with other GIS layers such as zoning, land use, flood zones, and infrastructure data.
Assist in developing custom GIS reports, maps, and web applications for stakeholders and public use.
Collaboration & Compliance:
Work closely with county assessors, surveyors, tax offices, and planning departments to ensure data accuracy and compliance with local/state regulations.
Assist in responding to public and government inquiries related to land ownership, boundaries, and mapping.
Ensure GIS parcel data adheres to state, county, and national GIS standards.
Technology & Process Improvement:
Utilize GPS, LiDAR, and aerial imagery to enhance parcel accuracy and mapping quality.
Automate workflows using Python, SQL, or ModelBuilder to improve GIS data processing and maintenance.
Support the integration of GIS with CAD, enterprise databases, and land management systems.
