- Perform PostgreSQL database (multi-terabyte scale) migrations from on-prem to AWS cloud environment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system health
- Consolidate multiple PostgreSQL instances into streamlined, high-performance systems
- Monitor, tune, and optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance and scalability
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security best practices
- Design and implement advanced strategies including partitioning, and data archiving
- Develop and manage HA, backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies in the cloud (Aurora, RDS, EC2-based PostgreSQL)
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application performance
- Write and maintain documentation related to database standards, architecture, and procedures
