Data Center Engineer (1000 hours part-time over one year, approximately 20 hours/week, but flexibility is necessary. More hours may be needed one week and/or weekend for emergencies.)

a. Ability to drive to data center co-lo to troubleshoot and debug data center systems within 2 hours. (Data center location is in Sunnyvale). Expected to travel to co-lo space once a week and often more when systems down.

b. Ability to lift 50 lbs or more to pack and unpack servers, racking, installing, configurating, and testing.

c. ‘Hands-on’ experience in setting, monitoring, and trouble-shooting data center issues including hardware, software, server down, overheat, cable connection, wrong NICs, and several others.

d. Design, implement, and maintain data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and other equipment.

e. Strong experience working with technology partners like Dell, HPE, Supermicro, etc.

f. Familiar with Equinix Co-lo processes and procedures. Familiar with shipping and receiving systems servers.

g. Expect to travel to data center co-lo once a week and often more when we have system failures.

h. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
