Be a Techno functional SME with strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively. 
The SME should have extensive experience in Workday implementations, including the ability to assess and configure new modules independently. This includes understanding the platform well enough to have intelligent conversations about it.
The consultant should provide oversight to the vendor implementing Workday, assess their proposals, and offer recommendations or challenges as needed. This requires a deep understanding of Workday functionalities and features.
Focus on understanding business needs, translating them to IT stakeholders, and managing priorities - Act as a liaison / SME for Zayo's IT team and partner closely with the HR function.
The consultant's day-to-day deliverables include capturing business requirements, providing regular updates to the business team, and ensuring a soft touch with high EQ to manage how the business team receives and handles information.
The SME must have high emotional intelligence (EQ) to manage relationships with non-technical stakeholders and rebuild relationships with those who have had negative experiences in the past
Technical and Functional Balance: The role requires a balance between technical and functional skills, with a focus on managing priorities and ensuring effective communication between business and IT stakeholders.
