1. Server Administration:

• Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Linux servers.

• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and security updates using Red Hat Satellite.

• Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues to ensure uptime and performance.

• Create and manage golden system images.

• Perform OS installations using Satellite or physical media (CD).

• Deploy and administer container environments.

• Automate system tasks using Ansible.

• Support container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

2. User Account Management:

• Configure user accounts, SUDO access, and group permissions.

• Enforce security policies to safeguard sensitive data.

3. System Security:

• Configure and maintain SELinux.

• Integrate FireEye for system protection.

4. Networking:

• Configure network bonding and EtherChannels.

• Collaborate with the networking team to resolve connectivity and configuration issues.

5. Backup and Monitoring:

• Coordinate with backup teams to ensure proper OS backup procedures.

• Assist monitoring teams in configuring OS-level alerting and diagnostics.

6. Containerization:

• Manage containerized environments and support application migrations to Linux containers.

7. Documentation & Ticketing:

• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and ticket resolutions.

• Record solutions and actions taken within ServiceNow or other ticketing systems.
