? Ensure the availability and optimization of the MSSQL 2016, 2017, 2019 in Hosted and IaaS SQL VM in Azure. Experience with Azure SQL and Managed Instance databases in Azure.
? Make sure to follow technical standards and operational procedures to meet database performance, High Availability, replication, scalability, and security requirements in both hosted and cloud environments.
? The individual will need hands-on experience in design and troubleshooting real-time MSSQL related issues.
? Monitor performance on application databases, queries and suggest/apply continuous tuning.
? The responsibilities include working closely with application teams and other Stakeholders in identifying issues related to MSSQL.
? Must have experience in tuning of database instances.
? Responsible for coming up with standards to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security, and performance.
? The DBA will perform reviews on the design and code frequently to ensure the site standards are being adhered to.
? Has a good technical understanding and provides technical support to application development teams when necessary.
? Assist in resolving priority incidents to quickly eliminate impacts, participate in root-cause analysis, and support subsequent corrective and preventative actions.
? Work closely with Database Team Lead, collaborate with various Application support and engineering teams to optimize database performance and reliability.
? Senior Database Administrator are encouraged and supported to acquire relevant Azure certifications (e.g. DP-300, DP-900, AZ-900 Exam).
? Establish, maintain, and adhere to CRD technical standards, policies, and procedures.
