JOB DETAIL

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. 

  • Design, implement, monitor, enhance and troubleshoot systems in assigned areas. 

  • Analyze, revise and document difficulties in existing system logic. 

  • Test and review system designs. 

  • Resolve escalated incidents and problems with software supported by the team. 

  • Generates reports. 

  • Provide management with system analysis, feedback, and improvement recommendations. 

  • Work with software architects identifying and recommending design and requirements needed for software enhancements. 

  • Maximize efficiency of various software systems by implementing, monitoring, testing, and auditing new software programs. 

  • Develop RESTful APIs for use by various front end/UI using Scala/Java/typescript technologies. 

  • Strong experience with any of these programing languages (Java, Python, Scala, Typescript). 

  • Develop microservices using AWS. 

  • Take ownership and make technical decisions on software development projects. 

  • Develop and implement software according to proposals. 

  • Estimate scope of work. 

  • Create project documentation. 

  • Implement software proposals. 

  • Serves as an escalation point to resolve incidents and problems for production applications and web services supported by the team in accordance with identified Service Level Objectives 

  • Collaborates with internal customers, technical, and architecture teams to solve complex software problems 

  • Provides general system users and management with system analysis and feedback 

  • Influences system design by identifying and recommending design and requirements needs for software enhancements 

  • Mentors and coaches less experienced staff 

  • Participates in continuous performance improvement and root cause analysis sessions to discuss opportunities to improve processes, system reliability, and standards 

  • Analyzes and resolves computer related problems by coordinating with in-house personnel to diagnose and fix operational issues, as well as consulting, advising and training on specialized features and functions 

  • Follows established configuration/change control processes 

  • Helps to reduce toil 

  • Implements internal automation systems, including code development 

  • Strong experience with software security principles and patterns. 

  • Ability to collaborate with and contribute to a common culture of excellence. 

  • Hands-on experience with cloud solution providers AWS
