• Managing Oracle software upgrades and patch management
• Monitoring database performance to ensure that it meets performance requirements
• Creating documentation for database design, development, and maintenance activities performed by developers
• Maintaining the security of the database environment using security features such as password policies, encryption methods, firewalls,
• Monitoring the performance of applications that access the database to ensure that they perform efficiently and without error
• Performing manual backups of databases to external storage devices such as tape drives or optical disks
• Monitoring resource utilization to ensure that database server performance does not degrade due to insufficient hardware resources
• Managing database replication, including setting up replication schemes and configuring clients to use them
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining database structures to meet business
