JOB DETAIL

IBM Consulting is seeking 4 skilled and experienced Remote Customer 1 Mainframe Developers to support their client National Grid. These positions require experience in Accenture’s Customer 1 Billing Solutions which are widely used in the utility industry to manage customer interactions and billing for essential services such as electricity, water, and gas. The solutions are specifically focused on dynamic pricing and demand response programs. You will work closely with both IBM and National Grid teams to ensure smooth delivery and issue resolution in a high-stakes, customer-centric environment. AS past of the project, you will utilizes your expertise in mainframe technologies to deliver robust solutions and handle the intricacies of utility billing systems. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Expert-level Consulting: As an expert in Accenture’s Customer 1 platform, you will provide deep insights into customer service and service order management. You’ll work directly with National Grid to optimize their customer interaction systems and billing processes.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: You will be responsible for resolving technical issues related to the Customer 1 Billing Solutions. This includes identifying and resolving customer issues through established troubleshooting processes and collaborating with other technical teams to implement fixes.
  • Documentation & Training Materials: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ongoing projects, including user guides, troubleshooting manuals, and training materials. You’ll ensure that all project activities are thoroughly documented for future reference and training purposes.
  • Liaison Between Teams: Act as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders from National Grid, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of issues. This includes coordinating with the support teams to escalate and resolve complex problems as needed.
  • Mentoring: Train and mentor new associates during onboarding.
  • Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing: As a senior developer, you'll play an important role in mentoring junior team members. You’ll assist in the onboarding process and provide ongoing support to help them grow in their technical expertise.
  • Knowledge Maintenance: You’ll need to keep up with developments in the business environment, customer-specific needs, and service level agreements. This is crucial to maintain effective solutions and adapt to any changes in National Grid’s requirements.
  • Problem Resolution & Customer Support: Proactively identify and troubleshoot customer issues related to the utility billing platform. You will be expected to document all steps taken in the problem resolution process and continuously improve the quality of support offered.
