As a Data Center Asset Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the physical inventory of our data centers, coordinating asset disposal, and ensuring proper updates in the ServiceNow ITAM (IT Asset Management) system. Your role will involve working closely with multiple teams to maintain accurate records and streamline asset processes across various locations.
- Assist with the reconciliation of assets to the CMDB (Configuration Management Database) in ServiceNow ITAM.
- Track Data Center assets and coordinate the disposal process, ensuring assets are sent for disposal to the approved vendor (vendor already in place).
- Act as a liaison between the organization and the disposal vendor, ensuring assets are disposed of following company policies and regulations.
- Work closely with the ITAM team to ensure asset data is up-to-date and accurately reflected in the CMDB.
- Data Center Asset Management and ServiceNow ITAM (IT Asset Management).
- Strong experience in gathering and tracking physical inventory of assets within data centers.
- Expertise in assisting with asset reconciliation and updates to CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
- Experience in working with asset disposal vendors, managing the disposal process, and maintaining disposal records.
- In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform, particularly ITAM modules.
- Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work with multiple teams and external vendors.
