JOB DETAIL

  • Bachelor’s degree required. In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of IT Infrastructure or “I” Series experience is required.
  • 3+ years’ experience with “I” Series AS/400 operations administration is required.
  • Proficient with Robot and Sleeper job scheduling tools.
  • Proficient with change management tools such as Turnover.
  • Experience in RPG and CL Programming is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and maintain communications protocols such as TCP/IP and SNADS
  • Knowledge of replication and BRMS a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent task management and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business information and documents.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Office Equipment and Software: Hardware: computers; telephones; calculators; printers; copiers; scanners; fax machines. Software: MS Office products (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook), AS/400; Windows/Intel platforms; Robot and Sleeper job scheduling tools; Replication software (iSam Blue); Tape Library management tools (BRMS).
  • Decision Making: Decisions regarding what system configurations are needed to administer the AS/400 System.
  • Must follow established steps and procedures.
