Primary Purpose:
Under the general direction of the Manager, responsible for analyzing, documenting and translating business requirements into technical system requirements. Communicating requirements to technical staff and developing and executing test plans and use cases to validate changes. 

Responsible for applying test methodology, engineering and product knowledge in the design and execution of testing strategies and test cases for the functional and regression testing of assigned applications. Participates in planning the product roadmap and the end-to-end system lifecycle. Works with internal and external customers to understand business needs and advance application functionality. 

Level of Education and Discipline

A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent education, training or experience in Information Technology, Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.

Years of Experience

Equivalent years of education and training, plus  (8+) or more years related experience.

Must Have- Type of Experience

Analyzing business requirements and translating them to System specifications.
Creating use cases, preparing test plans and executing traceable software testing.
Data architecture experience. 
Customer service and/or project management experience a plus.
Energy/Utility industry experience is a plus.
Experience with Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.

Experience in following tools and technologies is strongly desired(must have):

System Requirement Tools : Atlassian( JIRA, Confluence), JAMA, Visio, Microsoft Office
Testing Tools : HP ALM, Cucumber/Gherkin (BDD)
Databases : SQL, TOAD
Web Service Testing Tools (SOAP UI, Postman)
