Experience level 5-7+ years

Provides technical design, implementation and life cycle support of VMware and Isilon (NAS) storage. Operate as the subject matter expert for the Vmware platform.

Partner with various engineering, tools and BTS Teams to streamline and improve current Windows/VMware processes to support BTS Strategic Operation Initiatives.

Collaborating with security vendors on new releases, and support issues. Drives resolution and creates implementation plan for incident tickets.

Support of security vulnerabilities for the VMware platforms.

Assist with the lifecycle management for VMware and planning grades for the enterprise data center environments including testing new releases.

A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks)

Strong experience with data center expansions for compute and storage utilizing Dell/EMC, VxRail and VxRack Hyper converged solutions

Assist engineering teams to implement storage solutions including PowerScale and NetApp including implementing best practice, governance and security controls.

Provide support to outsourced operations team to ensure Incident and Problem Management is a mechanism that feeds continuous improvement for Vmware and NAS storage

Adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable corporate and divisional policies
