We are seeking a Graphics Designer for a hybrid (on-site 2days/wk) contract assignment working with our Austin, Texas client s Creative Services section in their Communications Division providing creative services for their transportation safety initiative, Drive Like a Texan. You will assist in the development of creative strategies and concepts to meet the goals and objectives of the campaign.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the creative team to design campaign materials, including digital ads, social media graphics, billboards, and print assets.
- Develop visually compelling concepts that align with the campaign's messaging
- Ensure all creative designs reflect the unique character and values of Texas, incorporating campaign typography, colors, and styles.
- Produce dynamic and creative artwork for various formats, including digital ads, print layouts, OOH (out-of-home), social media and collateral materials.
- Maintain a consistent visual identity across all campaign materials while bringing fresh, creative ideas to the table.
Requirements:
- Ability to blend illustration, color palettes, and typography into cohesive and visually impactful designs.
- Proven experience in graphic design, ideally within advertising, social campaigns, or public awareness initiatives.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- A portfolio showcasing bold typography, visual storytelling, and a passion for creating work that resonates emotionally.
- Ability to adapt designs across different mediums from digital to print.
- Familiarity with Texan culture is highly preferred.
- Ability to take direction and respond to briefs while providing original creative perspective
