Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certification as a Permit Technician or equivalent is highly desirable.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in permitting, licensing, planning, or code enforcement.
- Hands-on experience implementing or working with community development and land management software (e.g., Accela, Cityworks, Tyler EnerGov, or similar solutions).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in business process modeling and workflow design.
- Familiarity with database systems, reporting tools, and system integration methods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project management or agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of GIS integrations and spatial data concepts.
- Familiarity with building codes, zoning laws, and inspection processes.
