• Understanding of DevOps Release Engineer best practices
• Experience in IT Management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying and updating software environments
• Experience in measuring and monitoring progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget and that they meet or exceed expectations
• Experience in implementing and managing release processes for the progression of the code in the development, test and production environments
Day to Day:
• Assist in managing all Release deliverables and interdependencies to ensure measurement of milestone adherence and integrity of the release
• Provide Release oversight and governance during the Release execution window including overnight and weekends as required to support the Release Delivery and business timelines:
• Ensure any requests for modifications to the approved plan in real-time, during the Release execution window meet Release risk and readiness criteria prior to providing Release Management Approval
• Execute continuous improvement in the release process
• Manage risk and resolve issues that effect release scope, schedule and quality
• Measure and Monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and that they meet or exceed expectations
• Ensure Release activities for Release Gates and Phases are completed prior to their respective milestone dates and as a prerequisite for CAB Approvals
• Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews and Business Go/No-Go reviews
• Communicate release status to all IT and Business
