(1) Assisting with cloud migration of existing code;
(2) Providing design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy;
(3) Developing enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including major
enhancements and interfaces, functions, and features;
(4) Using a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers;
(5) Providing expertise regarding the integration of applications across Commerce;
(6) Determining specifications, then plans, designs, and develop the most complex and
business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes—
either individually or in concert with a project team;
(7) Assisting in the most difficult support problems;
(8) Developing programming and development standards and procedures as well as
programming architectures for code reuse;
(9) Having in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art programming languages and object-oriented
approaches in designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs;
(10) Understanding and consistently applying the attributes and processes of current application
development methodologies;
(11) Researching and maintaining knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application
to Commerce;
(12) Conducting code reviews as requested;
(13) Viewing both internally and externally as a technical expert and critical technical resource
across multiple disciplines; and
