JOB DETAIL

  • Must have Manhattan WMS experience
  • Must have built out distribution center

 

The Project Manager will drive the implementation of a distribution center rollout.  It is mandatory to have previous experience in building out a new location along with the IT components, including WMS. Supply chain experience is mandatory. They will be involved in project work efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams and resources to achieve multiple program and project milestones within established timeframes. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities for a complex build out, and ensuring we stay on schedule, within budget and get the work completed. This is a mission critical project, and we need somebody that can manage pressure well and drive work to completion.

 

Supply Chain & IT:

  • Must have experience in build out of a distribution center/large facility.
  • Must have experience in supply chain and understand nuances of the supply chain.
  • Preferable experience in warehouse management system (Manhattan) or any other comparable system.
  • Must have an IT background to understand the nuances of a buildout with IT infrastructure needs.

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and manage work effort plans, scope, and budgets.
  • Monitor and report on business objectives, work effort achievements, and key indicators.
  • Participate in the creation of master work effort plans from underlying plans.
  • Ensure project execution delivers incremental business value and meets goals, objectives, and success criteria.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Facilitate collaboration with subject matter experts to overcome challenges.
  • Establish overall cadence for communication with impacted partners.
  • Provide framework for work effort communication plans and lead risk management practices.

Budget and Compliance Management:

  • Develop and track project budgets, including capital expenditures, operational expenses, and labor funding requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to EPMO processes, procedures, controls, standards, tools, and templates.

Change Management:

  • Must have the ability to roll out the project amongst all the staff and ensure proper training, documentation, and process has been achieved.

EPMO Leadership:

  • Assist with EPMO Roundtable meetings, Office Hours, and provide first-line consult on EPMO methodology and best practice coaching.

Project Portfolio Management:

  • Orchestrate project transitions between PMs as needed.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Supply chain experience is required.
  • Rollout of a distribution center/large facility with moving parts is required.
  • Experience with WMS would be highly desirable.
  • Change management experience rolling out a successful large implementation.
  • Ability to lead and drive projects to completion
  • Holding team members accountable and ensuring work is getting done
  • Being a confident leader that can be the driver of the projects and gain trust of their teammates
  • 5-7 years of Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of Project Management concepts
  • Waterfall/Agile project experience
  • Vendor management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter, goal-oriented, ability to drive resolution without oversight
  • The ability to pivot quickly in a fast-changing environment

Additional Requirements: PMP & Lean Six Sigma, Bachelor’s degree.
