JOB DETAIL

The Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert
(SME) will provide hands-on technical expertise to support the Cyber Security Program Lead in implementing and managing advanced security measures across the organization. The SME will work closely with two organizations within the global enterprise to develop and deploy robust security solutions, ensuring the protection of information assets and compliance with security standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Security Implementation: Deploy and manage security tools and technologies to detect, prevent, and respond to threats.
Risk Management: Conduct hands-on risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and implement mitigation strategies.
Security Architecture: Design and maintain secure network architectures that adapt to evolving threats.
Incident Response: Lead hands-on incident response efforts, including detection, analysis, and recovery.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to security standards and conduct hands-on audits and assessments.
Technical Support: Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into systems and applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in information security, with expertise in implementing security solutions, managing incidents, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or
OSCP
Extensive hands-on experience in cyber security, risk management, and IT governance
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, CMMC, SOC 2, etc)
Excellent technical, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), or security operations
