· Lead Business Analysis Efforts: Oversee and guide the business analysis activities for projects related to shipping, international trade, booking, billing, and tariff maintenance.
· Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
· Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and support decision-making processes.
· Documentation: Create detailed business requirement documents, process flows, and functional specifications.
· Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all business processes comply with relevant international trade regulations and shipping industry standards.
· Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and team members.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
· Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business analysis within the shipping domain, focusing on international trade, booking, billing, and tariff maintenance.
· Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
o Knowledge of international trade regulations and shipping industry standards.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP or equivalent).
· Experience in building Ocean Transportation software.
· Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
