·         Meet with State staff to determine the scope of a project

·         Advise State on strategies to reach a particular audience

·         Determine the message the design should portray

·         Create images that identify a product or convey a message

·         Develop graphics for logos and websites

·         Select colors, images, text style, and layout

·         Present the design to State

·         Incorporate changes recommended by the State into the final design

·         Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them

·         Ensure that coding standards are met, optimizing the web architectures for navigability and accessibility

·         Utilize specialized graphic design software to prepare designs

Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:

·         Bachelor’s degree

·         Exceptional written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, and familiarity with a range of computer software

·         Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail

·         Strong Excel skills required, including data modelling and ad hoc analysis

·         Available to work from Baton Rouge, LA on a regular basis

·         Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:

·         Ability to discern key themes within large, complex datasets

·         Application of specialized skills within a government agency environment

·         Skilled in project design and management

·         Capability with PowerBI and Power Automate

·         Experience in data visualization, especially for external audiences.
