JOB DETAIL

  • Work on modernizing and reducing risks in Perl ecosystem by designing, developing and deploying appropriate changes including uplifts to modernized software stack and decommission. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure timely delivery of software solutions. 
  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable code that follows industry standards and best practices.
  • Conduct testing to ensure software quality and functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers to ensure code quality and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in software development and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software engineering practices.
  • Qualifications:
  • Over 9+ years of experience in software engineering or related fields.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more of the following languages: Perl, Python
  • Experience working in a Unix operating system and shell scripts
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
  • Experience with software development tools and technologies such as Git, Jenkins, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience working with certificates, encryption and cyber security  
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively and critically.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with financial services and/or capital markets is a plus.
