Need logistics experience related to shipping carriers, truck & carrier, small package delivery, freight delivery – working with companies like FedEx, UPS, DHL, , Shiply, XPO Logistics, Flexport, ShipAccel, etc.
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of new features within our Density API.
Day-to-day tasks will include designing and implementing software systems, debugging and testing code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Experience working in the logistics space related to shipping carriers, truck & carrier, small package delivery, freight delivery.
• A curious problem-solver, someone excited to approach problems in a creative way
• 5+ years total development experience – Python focused
o Demonstrated experience deploying quality code
o Appreciation of Python coding best practices and agile development methodology
• Proficiency with SQL
• Comfort testing your own code, and that of your team
• Understanding of startup environment, comfortable working in small and scrappy team in an environment where you wear multiple hats (product, design, QA)
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or AWS
• Experience working with a small startup, under 50 people
• Empathy for early stage start up
• Understanding of transactional and analytical databases
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Ability to design and develop solutions that are resilient to failures and unlock observability
• Deployed code in a cloud environment
• Experience with ReST API’s
• Familiarity with AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Run / App Engine.
