DevOps Architect – Roles and Responsibilities

1. Develop and document procedures for automated deployment processes for all IaC and ensure they

are in line with industry best practices

2. Perform architecture, design and engineering of Azure DevOps, including process modifications,

source control, and all other aspects of the features provided by Azure DevOps

3. Help guide teams to adopt an agile and continuous improvement culture

4. Work with the cyber security services team to ensure all Application servers meet or exceed the

organization’s security standards

5. Regularly review and manage access to production Application environments along with

operations team

6. Partner with other technology team members to design, document and support all internal and

external audit controls pertaining to software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.

7. Provide escalated support for Azure DevOps issues

8. Develop detailed release assembly and build instructions, including the exact sequence of

operations.

9. Develop automated installation scripts and associated test plans for systems Software

10. Develop master copies of the installation media and installation instructions for systems Software,

to be stored in the DSL

11. Develop back-out procedures to ensure that they can be accomplished with in the down time

window scheduled for implementation of the release

12. Develop and enhance automated deployment processes
