•              This individual will be responsible for COBOL/JCL/CICS modules - development and maintenance

•              Analyze business functions and data discrepancies

•              Assists in identifying solutions that leverage both the mainframe and the distributed platforms

•              Utilize his/her mainframe development skills to code and test solutions to business requirements

•              Communicate effectively with global team members and business users at all levels

•              Manage a 15+ team of offshore consultants on mainframe development projects

•              Provide mainframe expertise guidance to junior developers

•              Provide Subject Matter Expert level knowledge to drive technology solution development and integration across the SDLC including requirements, functional specs, design, custom development, integration, testing, and deployment Coding and design

•              Code reviews with other team leads Qualifications for mainframe developer

•              Extensive documentation experience and attention to detail

•              Knowledge of industry standard source control systems

•              Work with onshore and offshore team members from IT, Ops & Business

•              Code solutions that meet the business requirements in a timely and accurate manner

•              Follow and improve existing coding standards and best practices

•              Must have significant experience developing applications under an onshore-offshore model
