This individual will be responsible for COBOL/JCL/CICS modules - development and maintenance
Analyze business functions and data discrepancies
Assists in identifying solutions that leverage both the mainframe and the distributed platforms
Utilize his/her mainframe development skills to code and test solutions to business requirements
Communicate effectively with global team members and business users at all levels
Manage a 15+ team of offshore consultants on mainframe development projects
Provide mainframe expertise guidance to junior developers
Provide Subject Matter Expert level knowledge to drive technology solution development and integration across the SDLC including requirements, functional specs, design, custom development, integration, testing, and deployment Coding and design
Code reviews with other team leads Qualifications for mainframe developer
Extensive documentation experience and attention to detail
Knowledge of industry standard source control systems
Work with onshore and offshore team members from IT, Ops & Business
Code solutions that meet the business requirements in a timely and accurate manner
Follow and improve existing coding standards and best practices
Must have significant experience developing applications under an onshore-offshore model
