JOB DETAIL

  • Manage and support multiple Development, Test and Production environments on Oracle applications.

  • Perform clones, patching, and code migrations as necessary to support business requirements.

  • Provide and maintain comprehensive documentation on database systems, configurations, processes, and standards.

  • Support 24/7 applications with strong understanding of backup and recovery best practices.

  • Collaborate with the IT application teams to ensure database requirements are met.

  • Protect data integrity and security through access control and regular security reviews.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation and work nights and weekends as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)

  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline. May consider equivalent training and experience in lieu of degree. 

  • Experience:  Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as an Oracle Applications DBA, with a proven track record of successfully managing Oracle Applications environments.

    • Hands on experience supporting Oracle E-Business suite

    • Extensive experience with cloning R12 instances using all available cloning methods

    • Proficiency in applying product-specific patches and post-installation patches for various Oracle Applications modules

    • Familiarity with tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager

    • Implementation of comprehensive Backup/Restore mechanisms, such as RMAN and Shell scripting

    • Knowledge of Linux operating systems

    • Experience supporting Oracle RAC environments

    • Previous involvement in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and execution

    • Ability to open, manage, and resolve Oracle SRs

    • Knowledge of MySQL a plus
